New Partners and Acquisitions for Playtech

New joint ventures, UK acquisitions and other updates from a flourishing Playtech.

Playtech have released details of numerous new ventures in markets expected to open up soon.

In South Africa, Playtech have entered into a 50:50 partnership with casino and resort operator, Peermont, which operates a total of 14 properties. The venture will initially offer sports betting, with broad-based gaming to be added later.

In Germany, Playtech has entered into a 49.99% joint venture with land-based gaming operator, Gauselmann Group. The venture is expected to offer gaming products and sports betting and services, with both partners having equal board representation.

Playtech also announced the £11million acquisition of UK-based sportsbook developer, Geneity. Geniety, whose clients include Ladbrokes and Betfair, will receive a further performance-related £4million.

Playtech clarified that its joint venture with Scientific Games will now take the form of a simple and flexible supplier relationship, that the Gala Coral migration project should be completed within 5 months and that integration with Ash Gaming will begin soon.

Finally, Playtech said they are preparing to launch its licensees in the Danish and Spanish markets.
